Position Overview:
This is an individual contributor role and expected to have the capability to manage assigned category sourcing and deliver results by achieving excellence in on-time, with quality and cost efficiency for the category.
Reports to:
Sourcing Manager
Essential Duties:
1. Conduct sourcing activities for University's Operation service including facility management, renovation and upgrading service etc.
2. Prepare forecast and demand plan by working with request offices across the university, and effectively implement sourcing plan.
3. Drive category excellence through in-depth study and analysis of relevant market data and benchmarking information, continuous improvement in processes and cost control scheme, and optimization of solutions.
4. Understand users, take initiatives and identify opportunities in working with other offices to achieve the best possible results for DKU.
5. Develop supplier pool and manage suppliers through effective and systematic approach, including standard setting, KPI assessment, performance monitoring, etc.
6. Understand and adhere to university policies and guidelines as well as relevant procurement rules and regulations to ensure compliance.
7. Assist in executing government procurement activity according to the regulation.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
9. University employees' job responsibilities will continue to expand in scope and depth as the University grows in size and complexity in its programs.
Required Qualifications:
1. Full-time bachelor’s degree or above, major in business administration or supply chain. CIPS or CPSM or other Supply Chain Management related certificate is preferred.
2. At least 5 years of procurement experience with recent 3 years handling sourcing activities, with exposure to education industry, or large group enterprises, or reputable foreign invested enterprises.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to interact and work comfortably with people at different levels, cross-functions, and from different cultures.
4. Customer-focused with good planning and stakeholder management skills.
5. Self-disciplined, quick learner with ability to work independently, while can also work well in a team setting.
6. Excellent time management, project management skills, high work efficiency and ability to work under pressure and multitasking.
7. Skilled in using software and applications including popular ERP system, MS-Office applications, etc.
8. Excellent Chinese and English skills both verbal and in writing.
9. Strong data analytical skills and problem solving.
10. Strong professional ethics.
